Letters of Andrew Jackson Dawson, 1864-1865.

Dawson writes chiefly of camp life, especially lack of provisions in the last winter of the war. He advises his wife on managing the farm and slaves. There are brief comments on the desolation of athe Shenandoah Valley in 1864 and the battle of Hatcher's Run in the Petersburg Campaign.
